The 3-D Nudie-Cuties
Collection is "Must See 3-D!"
If you don't have The 3-D Nudie-Cuties Collection
3-D Blu-ray yet then order it today. One again
the fine folks at The 3-D Film Archive and Kino
Lorber have teamed up to bring another set of
classic 3-D films to the market. This time its
a collection of several early sexploitation films
including The Bellboy and the Playgirls, Adam
and Six Eves and bonus shorts.
This release does brings the 3-D version of one
of the films to 3-D fans for the first time. Adam
and Six Eves was filmed with the Natural Vision
camera rig in 1962 but was never released in 3-D
in theatres at the time of its original release.
Now you can see it better than it could have ever
been projected in 1962. The meticulous quality
taken by The 3-D Film Archive to restore and improve
everything it touches is apparent once again.
You can download several high-resolution
images from the Kino Lorber website.
The 3D Nudie-Cuties Collection
Directed by Fritz Umgelter , Francis Ford Coppola
and John Wallis
Nudie-Cuties were popular in grindhouse theaters
in the early 1960s but they were eventually
replaced with more explicit fare. 3-D was a natural
for this genre with such titillating promises
as A girl in your lap and They
dance right off the screen into your arms.
For The 3-D Nudie-Cutie Collection the
3-D Film Archive has restored two rare features
from this era of sexploitation. The Bellboy
and the Playgirls (1962) stars June The
Bosom Wilkinson and includes new scenes
directed by 22-year-old Francis Ford Coppola,
including a finale in The New Depth Perception.
Adam and Six Eves (1962) was filmed with
the venerable Natural Vision camera rig in 1962
but was never released in 3-D.
The collection also includes two Golden Age 3-D
short subjects: Love for Sale (1953) features
the gorgeous Bella Starr and Beauty in 3rd
Dimension is a newly curated collection of
Figure Studies in Kodachrome Stereo from 1951.

Harry Potter and
the Prisoner of Azkaban Prototype Lenticular Poster
A seller asked a starting price of $18,000 in
a Facebook movie poster auction group for a prototype
Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
lenticular movie poster. The poster measures 25.5"
Harry Potter's long suffering godfather Sirius
Black (Gary Oldman) is depicted on this amazing
one sheet prototype that was never issued by Warner
Brothers. In a brilliant marketing ploy, Warner
Brothers created this poster to mimic the "Wanted"
posters used in the movie itself. What was exciting
about those, is that you could see Sirius laughing
with insanity on the poster and Warner Brothers
tried to duplicate a motion effect here. As one
moves back and forth before this poster, the image
of Black actually begins to disappear.
Only six of these full-size prototypes were created
at a facility in Michigan and Warner Brothers
decided it was too expensive to put them into
full production so the project was dropped. This
is not the small size lenticular produced for
the lobby standees.
In a Nov. 18 and 19, 2011 auction, the 25.5"
x 40" poster sold at Heritage Auctions for
$3,883.75. On April 8, 2018 a 25.5" x 40"
poster sold for $17,925. The next sale on March
23 and 24, 2019 brought a $12,000 winning bid.
Another one of the one-sheet posters is scheduled
to be in the Heritage Auctions Movie Posters Signature
Auction to be held March 21 and 22, 2020.
A smaller 17.25" x 25" version sold
for $504 on Dec. 2, 2018.
Made View-Master® Model C Viewer Pendant and
These custom made pendant and tie-tacks made
in 2002 to look like a View-Master Model C Viewer
were offered for sale at $14.95 each in an eBay
auction. There was only one pendant and five tie-tacks
