2012 National Stereoscopic Association Convention in Costa Mesa, California, July 25 through 30 promises to be the best ever "Orange" you going to attend the National Stereoscopic Assocation annual convention starting on July 25 in Costa Mesa, California? This year’s Keynote Speaker is Lenny Lipton, who is recognized as the father of the electronic stereoscopic display industry. He was the lead inventor of the current state-of-the-art technologies that enable today's theatrical filmmakers to project their feature films in 3-D and his work is also the basis for much of today’s 3-D TV technology. He has 53 patents granted with many others pending. The other celebrity speaker at this year’s convention is Dr. Brian May who will present his Brief History of 3-D. Dr. May is a legendary guitarist, songwriter, singer, founding member of Queen, astrophysicist and author. He has had a lifelong interest in Victorian 3-D photography. In 2009 he published his third book A Village Lost and Found, he is currently working on his next book DIABLERIES – Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell (working title) expected out next year. Anchor Bay Films announced BAIT 3-D will be available to screen in cities nationwide through Tugg Inc., a collective action Web platform that enables moviegoers to choose the films that play in their local theatres. Fans can sign up to bring BAIT 3-D to their theatre to share the intense 3-D, bloodthirsty shark action on screen with their local community.
