"What is 'Independent Living'?"

Independent living is having the opportunity to make decisions that affect one's life, able to pursue activities of one'sown choosing -- limited only in the same manner as a person without a disability.

"What is the TCIL?"

Tri-County Center for Independent Living (TCIL) is NOT a residential center.

It is a not-for-profit organization designed to assist people with disabilities to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible. It is staffed by people with disabilities who have been successful in establishing their own independent life style.

COST: No cost to eligible individuals.

ELIGIBILITY: Persons of all ages who have a disability which causes difficulty in at least one major area of their life.
