Sacramental Services Offered

BAPTISM:

Sessions to prepare expectant parents and/or new parents are held quarterly on the 3rd Sunday of February, May, August and November at 1:00 PM in the Bridget Room. Please contact the parish office to set a date for the baptism.

FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION:

In the fall, second graders begin preparation for First Reconciliation which is celebrated in the first semester. First Eucharist follows and is celebrated in the spring. Students attending St. Patrick School are prepared for these sacraments as part of their religion class. Other students prepare for them through our PSR (Parish School of Religion).

CONFIRMATION:

Classes are offered for young adults in the fall to prepare for Confirmation in the Spring. Confirmation Sessions are held every year. For more information, contact the Religious Education Coordinator at 364-1435.

MATRIMONY:

Register in the Parish and become a member of the Sunday worshiping community three months before contacting a priest. Contact a priest at least six months prior to the date of the wedding.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION:

For those interested in joining the Catholic Church, we have an ongoing process of Christian Initiation. Inquirers are welcomed when they express an interest and proceed through the various stages of initiation. The length of time varies according to individuals. The usual time for full initiation of baptism, confirmation and eucharist is the Easter Vigil. Initiation can, however, occur at other times, especially for candidates who have been baptized. For more information or to become an inquirer, call the Parish Office.

CARE OF THE SICK:

Please inform the Parish Office of anyone confined to his/her home or hospitalized. Eucharistic Ministers are available to bring communion to the homes of our ill parishioners. They also visit with parishioners who are hospitalized.

A Mass of Annointing is celebrated on the First Friday of each month. This Mass is held at 1:30 PM, either in the Chapel or the Church. Reconciliation is offered prior to Mass, at 1:15 PM.
