FOOD PANTRY:

St. Patrick Church works with the GRACE (Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise) Program to give assistance to persons and families with a temporary need for food assistance. The GRACE Program acts as a clearinghouse, verifying the needs of applicants and providing direction in the type and amount of assistance needed. This is a community project, with many churches being involved in sharing their resources. St. Patrick Church provides this service to the community on Tuesdays, with other churches responsible for other days of the week. To become active in this outreach program, contract Pat Sauer at 364-1272. To find out more about the GRACE  organization, contact them at 368-5577.

FUNERAL DINNER MINISTRY:

St. Patrick Church strives to be responsive to the needs of its members. There are certain times in the life of every family and individual that the support of their faith community is of extreme importance. One of these times is the death of a loved one. There are many ways that we can show a grieving family that we care for them. As a parish family, one of the ways in which we show our support and love is to offer to prepare a dinner to be served following the funeral Mass and burial. This allows family and friends time to gather to remember their loved one who is gone. The stress associated with the funeral preparation is over and they must now begin the process of healing. Often it is the last chance they will have to gather before family and friends leave for home. We have two funeral dinner coordinators who organize these efforts as needed. To find out more or to volunteer to work with this committee, call  Carolyn Cruse at 364-5031.
