PARISH MISSION!
Encounter the Risen Christ
Presented by Fr. Cedric Pisegna, C.P.
April 14-16, 2008
10am and 7pm each day
(morning and evening sessions are different)
|
| A Parish mission is a retreat or “revival” for the parish community. During this time the universal message of the Gospel and of the Church is preached. It is a time of God’s special grace. Through prayer, music, and preaching God’s word, the missionary tries to create an atmosphere through which peoples’ hearts will be moved. The centerpiece of the mission is the Lord Jesus Christ and his Paschal Mystery. Jesus died so that we could be forgiven; he rose so that we could know new life; he will come again in Glory to raise us up and take us home to Heaven. New life is the goal and purpose of the mission; the refreshing new life that God offers us in the Holy Spirit. Fr. Cedric will preach at all the Masses on April 12 and 13. |

copy of Christian Prayer for your personal use, it is available
through the parish office.
MUSICIAN NEEDED for MUSIC
MINISTRY
St. Patrick’s Music Ministry is
looking for an individual who can play the piano, the organ and accompany
the choir. If you are interested or know someone who may be interested,
please contact the parish office at 364-1435.
FAMILY VOCATIONS PRAYER CROSS
The following families have made the commitment to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life for one week. The traveling vocations cross will be exchanged at the 10 AM Mass each week, and will be given to the next family on the list. If you would like to be included in the next rotation, please see the sign-up sheet in the gathering area or contact Paul Hamacher at 364-1588.
BUSINESS OWNERS!
If you are a parishioner who
owns a business, please consider advertising your company on the back cover
of our bulletin. Since April, 2004, we have been printing the bulletin
in-house, and the income derived from the sale of advertising space helps
defray the cost of paper, copier toner and supplies as well as the time
used to create the bulletin. We began in-house publishing in order to make
the bulletin as timely as possible. Previously, our bulletins had to be
transmitted to St. Louis
by mid-week, which made it impossible to insert late-breaking items of
interest to the parish. Now, with a later deadline, we can make the
bulletin more relevant to the people of our parish. Our ad prices are
reasonable, and we can create almost any type of ad for your business. For
more details on our bulletin ads, please contact either the parish office
or Dave Lexa at 364-2954. All advertising funds
now stay in our parish.
Please
patronize our bulletin advertisers.
