Ham Operators in the Rolla Area:

Once again this fall the Diabetes Education Fund (DEF) is sponsoring the Tour of the Ozarks Bike-a-thon (http://www.touroftheozarks.org) in the beautiful Ozark hills from Rolla south to Licking. And once again, DEF will be counting on Ham radio operators for communications support for the event scheduled on Saturday, September 22. We can use about 15 operators for this event and although we already have several volunteers (thank you for volunteering), we STILL need several more to fill the roster. We have openings for as early as 7am and on through the day. For the most part we need operators with mobile stations to set up and operate at the food and water stops along the excursion routes. Operators are also needed to ride in the sag wagons and to man the net-control station at the ride headquarters.
