This is Sniffy, our first little ratty. He had the sweetest disposition.
His favorite perch.
A cozy place to snuggle in or stretch out. His favorite 'bed' was a tissue box.
This milk carton was *not* an acceptable substitute for a tissue box. He refused to go inside!
Such a cute face!
Sniffy seemed to know his name and would come when called.
He would stand on the edge of the bathroom counter and peek around the doorway.
We still miss this loveable, sociable little guy.
When we let him out of his 'cage' (a glass aquarium with a weighted screen top), he would run around and explore a little, but then he would come to us to snuggle and be scratched. He would 'wrestle' our hands, too, and play-fight. He never bit anyone and was always very gentle and fun-loving.
Sniffy would greet any new acquaintances with a lick on their hands. He was invited to a Sunday School class where preschoolers learned that God made rats, too. When asked to visit a grade school class, Ross took him row by row to meet the kids. Sniffy licked each one and some of them scratched his cheeks. The kids loved it! So did Sniffy.
