Gramma's Corner
We are so very sad to report that
Gramma turned 100 years young! Click here to see photos. (Please be patient while it loads.)
Reata Galusha Hughes was born in 1904.
Gramma had eight siblings. Part of her childhood was spent on a North Dakota homestead in a sod house. During World War II she worked in an ammunition plant as an inspector and also loading powder into machine gun bullets. In her travels over the years, she has been from the Mississippi River to the west coast many times, mostly on historic Route 66. Gramma has seen the United States go from covered wagons to men on the moon.
