NOTICE -- MLERF MEETING DATE CHANGES

The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation has voted to move the June Board meeting and Annual Governors'-Elect Forum meeting back to its original scheduled dates.

The Board will meet on Saturday, June 13, 1998, at 10: a.m.

The meeting will be held at the Health Pavilion, located next to Columbia Regional Hospital at 500 Keene Street; the Health Pavilion is located in front of the Foundation.

The Governors'-Elect Forum will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14, immediately following the Board meeting.

June 13th was the original date for this meeting. It was changed at the December meeting, due to an error on a calendar used by the Foundation. The Foundation did not wish to disrupt the Father's Day schedules of Lions who wished to attend the June Board Meeting and changed the Board Meeting so that it would not fall on the same weekend as Father's Day.

Upon notification that the calendar used had the incorrect date of Father's Day (Father's Day falls on the third weekend in June), the Board felt it important to return the meeting to its originally scheduled date. This will allow the Foundation to maintain bookings for its meeting facilities, food service, hotels, etc.

The Foundation apologizes for the mix up.
