MEHLVILLE LIONS PRESENT "SPINOZA BUDDY BEAR TO DWI VICTIM

Above Mehlville Lions Frank Wagner, left, Health and Welfare Chairman and Lion Past President Ed Morgan present a "Spinoza Buddy Bear" to eight year old Mindy Meyer at Cardinal Glennon Hospital. On August 3rd, while driving drunk, her father crossed the center line and crashed his car. None of the three children riding in the car had their seat belts fastened and were ejected from the car. A friend, ten year old Amanda Bieter died. Mindy had multiple injuries including a broken neck and internal injuries which left her paralyzed from the neck down. Mindy's six year old sister received two broken legs in the accident but has since been released from the hospital.
