The Freistatt Lions Club will celebrate their 25th Anniversary on Saturday, June 20, 1998 at 7:00 pm. Their main speaker will be Past International President Bill Biggs. International Director Dwayne Garrett also plans to be in attendance. Special entertainment will be Lewis Baumgartner -- the "world's worst farmer." CLASSIFIEDS -- FUNDRAISING

This years Monroe City Lions Club Tenth Annual Buddy Crappie Tournament will beSunday, April 26, 1998. The tournament will be run from the Route 107 Boat Ramp on the Mark Twain Lake in the Mark Twain State Park. The proceeds will go to finance many projects the club sponsors during the year including the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation, Monroe City Summer Baseball and Softball Program, and glasses for local youth who need help. Registrations will be accepted by mail through April 18, 1998. The registration fee is $50 per boat. Late registrations (after April 18) will be charged $60. OVERLAND LIONS CLUB Annual Fair is July 16, 17, 18, & 19. We will have plenty of food & cold drinks. We will have live music in the beer garden. A lot of rides for kids of all ages and also craft booths.

Buyers are also needed. The Auction will be held June 12, 1998 at the Four Points Hotel in Memphis TN with the Annual Meeting to follow June 13-14. Do you want to get rid of your Kuppenheimer blue Jacket? If so bring it to the State Convention or send it to the State Office and let Bev sell them for you. Bev says she can probably sell several if she has them.
