from the COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

This is a reminder that the correct year round Missouri Lions uniform, for all Missouri Lions is; Blue Blazer, white shirt, black tie, black trousers, black socks, and black shoes. The white pants are no longer a part of the Governors uniform.

The Parade Uniform is established by the Parade Marshall with the advice of the Convention Committee and the approval of the Council. In recent years it has been; white Missouri shirt, white trousers, white socks, and white shoes.

The Leadership, Membership, Extension training conducted on August 9 was very encouraging. The enthusiasm and ideas the committee members, District Governors and Vice District Governors displayed at the training were great. We must carry on with the ideas that were shared at the training. It is easy to talk about, and another thing to put into practice. The Lions of Missouri can and will make a difference.

We need every Lion and every club working together to reverse the decline in membership. I pray for our success.

NOTE: If you have a candidate for Lions International's 1996-97 Top Ten Youth Exchange Chairmen Award, please submit it to me by November 1, 1997. I will need the candidate's name, district, address, club name, any MD, district or club committee he/she chairs, and any information on youth camps the candidate is involved in.
