The Hermann Lions Club wishes to thank everyone who supported our various fund-raising events during the past year.
The Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation received $2375, the Lions World Services for the Blind received $200, the Herman City Riverfront Park received $3400 to help pay for new public restrooms that will be built in the park, the Missouri Lions Hearing Committee received $200, and the Hermann Area District Hospital received $500. In addition $440 in donations were made for eye examinations for needy youth, $200 to the Leader Dogs for the Blind Program, and $300 for local Junior League softball teams.
The Lions also donated $125 to the St. George School for the Lions Quest Program and $100 was donated to Families in Action for their prom night program.
The Hermann Lions Club Officers for 1996-97 are: Chuck Workman, President; Jack Corder, First Vice-President; Denver Lionberger, Second Vice-President; Al Duffner, Secretary; Dave Fagerness, Treasurer; Bernie Landolt, Lion Tamer; and Art Jakoubek, Tail Twister.
