Former Rolla businessman, Hank Grant, seated, was presented with the prestigious Lions Club
International President's Certificate of Appreciation recently by fellow Lions Club members. Grant, who is
retired from the grocery store he owned on Pine Street, is known for his service in community affairs.

District 26-J Cabinet Secretary Ed Bober, and District Governor Fred Krueger.
Acting on behalf of Lions International President Augustin Soliva and at the direction of International Director Dr. Dwayne Garrett, District Governor Fred Krueger presented the award to Lion Grant at his home. Governor Krueger was accompanied by District 26-J Cabinet Secretary Ed Bober, President of Rolla Lions Club Jack McFarland, and Park Chairman Elsworth Adams.
The award, signed by President Soliva, reads In part, "In recognition of your exemplary service in meeting the humanitarian objectives of Lions Club International...." In presenting the award, District Governor Krueger congratulated Lion Grant for living up to the Lions' motto, "We Serve."
