The Concord Village Lions Community Betterment Service Foundation has donated $6000 to the General
Post Fund of the Department of Veterans Affairs for hospital grade television sets. These television sets
are for the use of patients at the St. Louis Veterans Administration Medical Center. The club's check was
presented to John E. Patrick Chief Voluntary Services (right center), by Lions Club President Vern Elze
(left center), Lion Don Kozeny a foundation committee member (far right), and Lions Club First Vice
President and foundation chairman Bill Seebold (far left).
The Concord Village Lions Club Community Betterment Service Foundation presented a donation of $5000
to The Boys Club of St. Louis. With this donation the club will complete its athletic field expansion program.
This will increase the size of the baseball and soccer fields adjacent to the club. Foundation committee
member Dr. Richard Krewinghaus (left) presented the donation for the Lions Club to Charles M. Nash,
Executive Director of the Boys Club.
The Concord Village Lions Community Betterment Services Foundation has donated $3000 to Human
Energies, Inc. to help create business and employment opportunities for those of low income who are
welfare dependent. Human Energies program includes adult basic education, work force skills, computer
training, job preparation, and job search. The club's check was presented by Lion Bill Seebold, Foundation
Chairman (left) and Lion Rich Wagner, Foundation Committee Member (left center) to Joyce Clayton,
Executive Director (right center) and John Hamilton, Vice President (right) of Human Energies, Inc.
