Lion Dennis R. Tichenor, PID
Dennis R. Tichenor, of Portland, Oregon, is a member of the Milwaukie Lions Club and has served as a
100% district governor and council chairman. He has been chairman of the council of governors, the
Oregon Lions Eye Bank and the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation. Director Tichenor has
recorded 24 years of perfect attendance, is a Key Member and has received five District Governor's
Appreciation awards, the International President's Leadership Awards, the Top Ten Youth Exchange Award
and two International President's Awards. He is also an Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation Fellow
and a Melvin Jones Fellow. Director Tichenor is an educator and the owner of a travel service for students.
He has been active in his profession and, in 1984, was Oregon Student Council Advisor of the Year.
Director Tichenor and his wife, Judi, have two daughters.
