"MID-SOUTH LIONS" MEETING RETURNS TO MISSOURI
The Mid-South Lions Sight And Hearing Service will travel to Branson, Missouri for its second quarterly
board of directors meeting at the Branson Towers Hotel on Saturday and Sunday, November 16-17,
according to Mid-South Lions Convention Chair Lion Lisa Clinton of the Ft. Leonard Wood, MO Lions Club.
All Missouri Lions are invited to join Lions from Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee at the hospitality room
and committee meetings on Saturday afternoon, and/or the area directors and board meeting on Sunday
morning. "We also have a fun-filled evening planned for Saturday. Buses will pick us up at the hotel at 5:00
PM and take us to the Branson-Hollister Lions Den for dinner. Following the dinner, we will be treated to the
Andy Williams Christmas show," Lion Clinton said. She also noted that the dinner cost is $8 per person and
tickets for the show are $30 per person. Since seating is limited, reservations for the Andy
Williams show must be prepaid and should be confirmed through the office by October 4. Hotel and dinner
reservations are also available through the Mid-South Office.
Lion Brad Baker, Executive Director of the organization noted, "Mid-South helps the Lions of Missouri to
better serve their local community by providing primary sight and hearing care to needy patients sponsored
by Missouri Lions Clubs. Since July, l991, Mid-South has treated nearly 400 patients from Missouri (the
service value provided is about $738,000 during that time)."
Lion Clinton concluded "Join us in Branson to learn how Mid-South can continue to help people in your
area, and have lots of fun and fellowship along the way." For more information about the Mid-South Lions
quarterly meeting or any of their programs, contact the Mid-South Lions office at 800 642-3413. SEE YOU
