The Optimist Flap Jack Day is an annual fundraiser for the Optimist Club, which is held at the Rolla Elks Lodge on Hwy 63 South.  This year’s event will be on Saturday, November 4, 2006 from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

All proceeds go towards Optimist Club activities for the local area youth such as scholarships, academic awards, as well as athletic activities such as soccer, tennis, and basketball, so there is no charge for youth to participate.  Ticket sales will be at a booth near the entrance gates marked with the Optimist Club’s banner.  The Optimist and Octagon Clubs would like to extend their appreciation to the Rolla High School for making this fundraising opportunity easily accessible to community members. 

Tickets may be purchased from any Optimist Club Member.  Tickets will also be available at Dan Collier's State Farm Office located at 1100 Rolla Street in Rolla.  Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the Elk's Lodge on Saturday November 6, 2006.  Children 6 and under eat free.
