If you are attending the 1998 National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada this July 27-31 and this is your first convention be sure to attend several, if not all, of the convention workshops. http://www.nalc.org/convevnt.html#break If you are interested in computers there is a workshop on Tuesday, July 28, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. titled, Education I - Branches and Personal Computers. Ralph Goldstein, a Director of Education Staffer from HQ will be conducting this workshop. I attended a computer workshop that Ralph conducted at the '96 Convention in Orlando and I enjoyed it very much. His presentation in Orlando was standing room only, so I expect this workshop will be as enjoyable and likely more informative than his previous workshop. The NALC recognizes the growing popularity of computers and I think we are fortunate that a computer workshop is a part of the National Convention. Let's make this one standing room only too.
