Convention Workshops

by Gary Mills

If you are attending the 1998 National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada this July 27-31 and this is your first convention be sure to attend several, if not all, of the convention workshops. You can find the schedule for these workshops in the July issue of The Postal Record on page 33. Or use this link... http://www.nalc.org/convevnt.html#break

If you are interested in computers there is a workshop on Tuesday, July 28, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. titled, Education I - Branches and Personal Computers. Ralph Goldstein, a Director of Education Staffer from HQ will be conducting this workshop. I attended a computer workshop that Ralph conducted at the '96 Convention in Orlando and I enjoyed it very much. His presentation in Orlando was standing room only, so I expect this workshop will be as enjoyable and likely more informative than his previous workshop.

The NALC recognizes the growing popularity of computers and I think we are fortunate that a computer workshop is a part of the National Convention. Let's make this one standing room only too.
