Chocolate Apple Cake

 

3 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 cup margarine

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon allspice

2 1/2 cups flour

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup finely chopped nuts

3/4 cup mini-chocolate chips

2 apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped (2 cups)

 

Beat together eggs, sugar, margarine, and water. Add next six ingredients and mix well. Stir in nuts, mini-chocolate chips and apples.

 

Spoon into greased and floured angel food pan of bundt pan.

 

Bake at 325o for 60-70 minutes until cake tests done with toothpick.

 

Frost with cream cheese frosting. Cake tastes best when served warm.
