5 Hour Stew

 

3 lbs. cubed stewing meat

3 diced potatoes

1 diced onion

3 diced carrots

1 cup diced celery

2 cup tomatoes

3 T. flour

1 T sugar

Salt and pepper

1/3 cup water

 

Dredge meat in flour, sugar, salt and pepper and brown in a small amount of shortening. Then combine all other ingredients and pour into covered casserole. Bake at 250 degrees for five hours. ENJOY!!
