Staff at Immanuel

Pastor Stephen Kamprath was born in Adrian, Michigan. At 8 years of age, his family moved to Southgate, Michigan. He graduated from Lutheran West High in Detroit, Michigan and then attended Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Nebraska where he graduated with a teaching degree in 1972. While at Seward, he met Susan Mehl, whom he later married. After graduation, he served as a teacher, coach and athletic director at Immanuel Lutheran, Danville, Illinois.

In the summer of 1979, he began his studies for the ministry at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. Since then, he has served as a Vicar at St. Paul Lutheran, Yorktown, Iowa where he was also ordained and installed as pastor there July, 1981. Before coming to Rolla in May 2003, he also served as a pastor at Zion Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pensacola, Florida.

The Kamprath's have five sons: Christopher, Thomas and his wife Beth, David and his wife Maureen, Matthew, and Jonathan.

	Jana Wassilak is the pleasant voice you hear when you call Immanuel. Jana, who has been with us since August 1992, keeps everything running smoothly. 	Mrs. Van De Mark joined our staff January 2001 and is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Psychology and an emphasis in Child Development/Family Relations. She also has MBA from the University of Miami. In addition, Suzan works as the church bookkeeper. She is married and has two children.

	Mrs. Elliott graduated from Concordia, St. Paul, Minnesota, with a B.A. in Elementary Education, and a concentration in Sociology in 1988. She received her Master's degree in Education from the University of Missouri in 1997. She has been teaching at Immanuel Lutheran School since graduation in 1988. Mrs. Sammye Elliott Principal Teacher-3rd & 4th grades

	Miss Burgdorf graduated from Concordia College, Seward, Nebraska with a BS in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development. She started teaching at Immanuel Lutheran School, Fall 2007 with over 25 years experience teaching in lutheran schools in Missouri, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Dapong, Togo. Mrs. Susan Burgdorf Teacher 1st/2nd grades

Mrs. Fish graduated from Concordia, River Forest with a B.A. She had a double major in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education with a minor in music. She received her Masters of Art degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, Missouri.

Mrs. Fish started at Immanuel Fall 2008 and comes to us with over 20 years teaching experience. Mrs. Fish holds a Missouri Lifetime Teaching Certificate. See additional information by clicking on the Christian Day School link on the left.

	Mrs. Krumland graduated from Concordia, River Forest with a B.A. and Lutheran Teaching Diploma in 1970. She has over 10 hours of graduate work, mainly in teaching of reading from Concordia, Seward and the University of Nebraska, Kearney. Mrs. Lynn Krumland Teacher PreK 4

Mrs. Strandberg graduated from Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Nebraska in 1964 with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. Her major was in Social Studies (emphasis in History) and her minor was in Music (emphasis in Organ). She has completed ten hours of graduate course work in the areas of reading and classroom music. Mrs. Strandberg teaches music at Immanuel Lutheran School and also serves as Choir Director and Chief Organist at the church.
