Families wanting to be considered for a Habitat home must first complete an application to the Family Selection Committee. The Committee interviews families and makes final determination, based upon need, desire to own and maintain a good home, ability to make monthly home/non-interest mortgage payments. Once the family has been selected, the Family Support Committee offers guidance as needed.

All families considered by the Family Selection Committee will be residents of Phelps County and must contribute "sweat equity" toward the construction of a Habitat project.

Building floor plans are selected according to the needs of the family and potential of the neighborhood.
