Reverse Information: SWEETBRIER (Rosa eglanteria) - Uses: Rose hips are rich in Vitamin C. A very good jam can be made with rose hips and apples. Fresh or dried hips, fresh petals, and leaves may be steeped in hot water for 10 minutes to make tea. The fresh petals can be added to salads for a treat to the eye as well as the palate. Or make candied rose hips for a vitamin-rich nibble. Because rose hips are often found on the bush throughout the winter, they make excellent survival food. Flowers: May-July.
