Meeting of 10 January 2006 The meeting was opened at 10:00 by PCDC president Buz Harvey. In attendance were Buz Harvey, Joe Counsil, Edna Bridges, Julie Stevenson, Richard Hashagen, Chuck Pederson, Paul Rueff, Dan Babcock, Jodi Waltman, and Tammy Snodgrass. The minutes of the last meeting were approved. Buz distributed the 2004/2005 grant budget summary. Dammy described some details of how the final document was composed. Final approval will be no problem, but is not yet complete at SEMA. In the next grant cycle, we will hopefully have a better understanding and working relationship with SEMA, and can get better reimbursement turnaround. The grant term was extended to 15 January by SEMA to give us more time to complete the report. A motion was made by Joe to amend the budget to reimburse MRPC to an amount not more than $1700 additional fee for services provided finishing the grant reporting process. The motion was seconded and passed. Tammy will submit the budget amendment to SEMA. The next grant cycle will begin by around 1 April 2006, at which time a grant proposal will need to be prepared. Buz asked that all local organizations bring proposals to PCDC by 1 March. Tammy led a review of the final report draft. Joe will send revisions and additions to Tammy by Thursday. Buz encouraged each Neighborhood Watch group to submit budget requests for the next grant. Richard Hashagen of the North Phelps County NW group provided a preliminary list of items which their group needs. Joe will post that information on the PCDC web page for other groups to use as a reference. Linda Hanrahan reported that she will organize a Medical Reserve Corps organizational meeting. Buz will work with Linda to help set up the meeting by 1 March. Joe has the laptop computer and FRS handheld radios for the MRC, which he will pass along to Jodi. Richard announced that the North Phelps County NW will have a meeting Wednesday, 18 January at the Town & Country Bank, St. James, 7:00 PM. Jodi will provide extra copies of the "Ready in 3" emergency-preparedness brochures to NW groups. The next meeting of the PCDC will be 7 February. Buz closed the meeting at 11:05 AM.
