Meeting of 13 December 2005 The meeting was opened at 10:04 AM by PCDC president Buz Harvey. In attendance were Buz Harvey, Tammy Snodgrass, Joe Counsil, Chuck Pederson, Adie England, Sharon Covington, Edna Bridges, Rich Hashagen, Linda Hanrahan, Dan Babcock, and Jodi Waltman. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Concerning the budget, Joe reported that SEMA is processing the Phelps County reimbursement request. SEMA asked for rosters of meetings where refreshments were purchased, and a computer purchase agreement. Joe will provide those items to SEMA. Tammy presented a draft of the PCDC final report to SEMA for the 2004/2005 Citizen Corps grant. Any comments should be sent to Tammy. Tammy reported on the Medical Reserve Corps organitaional meetings which were held at The Centre in Rolla. There were seven attendees who may be willing and able to form an MRC organizational committee. Buz will coordinate a first organizational meeting. Linda Hanrahan offered to arrange a meeting time and place. Buz will give her contact information for those seven people. Chuck reported that a mapping workshop will be held this coming Thursday, 6-9 PM, Room 117 at Rolla Technical Center. The full commmercial software costs $250 per license, but there is a free version for download which has reduced capabilities. The PCDC may wish to include in the next grant proposal the cost of purchasing several of these licenses for Neighborhood Watch leaders, and other key personnel, so that they will have access to the advanced mapping capabilities of the commercial version. The Thursday workshop has about 25 available seats at workstations, about half of which are now filled. Attendees may bring their own laptop. Chuck also distributed information from http://gis.dhss.state.mo.us/mergis on the Missouri Emergency Response Geographics Information System (MERGIS). Users may request access to the web site's full capabilities by registering at the web site. Chuck will discuss this further at Thursday's workshop. The next meeting of the PCDC will be Tuesday, 9 January 2006. The agenda will include discussion of ideas for the next grant proposal. Buz closed the meeting at 11:04 AM.
