Mini Ninja

The Mini Ninja was sold some time ago but it was a fun little beast.

Stripped of its skin, you can see it is pretty well built as far as the frame is concerned.  The CVT is cover is off showing the ‘continously variable transmission’.  The bike is resting on my reloading/film editing bench.  Below you’ll see the much better ‘bike stand’ i’ve implemented.

Just a close up of the CVT.  I’m pretty happy with it so far.

Original color seat, tank, belly, and rear fender.

Just not a very good effort.  Blue is certainly showing and the stardust crayola inkjet sticker paper looks nice on the side.  Just not the blue I was looking for.

Front fairing doesn’t look too bad but just doesn’t match the truck.  1991 dakota ‘banzai blue’ will be applied next month.

Notice around the headlights.  I applied self stick weather strip ‘sponge’ around the headlights to dramatically dampen the vibration noise.

Color matched paint is not cheap so this is what most of the bike will look like till next month.

All the plastics back in place except for the belly pan.  The ‘stand’ is a huge help when working on the bike.  Easy to get to and secure.  It is from an old kitchen table.  Can’t wait for the real paint !
