Linda C. Carr,  President

Carr Communications is a multifaceted firm which focuses on the areas of management, licensee and Board relations, as well as development and marketing, primarily within the public broadcasting industry. Linda Carr, founder of the firm, has twenty-five years of experience in public broadcasting. Prior to founding Carr Communications fourteen years ago, Ms. Carr managed a variety of public radio stations and built the statewide Public Radio in Mississippi network. Her client base has included national, regional and local nonprofit and private sector organizations, to include the Washington-based Corporation for Public Broadcasting, National Public Radio and the Development Exchange, Inc.; Books on Tape, Los Angeles, CA; Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission, Lincoln, NE; and  small, medium and major market public radio and television stations including the Public Radio Partnership, Louisville, Kentucky; WUSF-FM/TV, Tampa, FL;  Texas Public Radio, San Antonio, TX;  KJZZ/KBAQ-FM, Phoenix, AZ; and KSUI-FM/WSUI-AM, Iowa City, IA .

  • Helped organize and provided training for the newly formed Public Radio Partnership Board 
  • Offered recommendations on consolidation of personnel and realignment of duties

  • Served as counsel for capital campaign for the new studio facility
