Preventive Maintainence

General.

• Keep the FILTERS clean. Check your filters often. Mark your Calender or you will forget! This will keep the air conditioner coils and blower free from dirt which will cause low air flow. Low airflow probably causes more damage and problems to equipment than anything You Can Control.
• Oil those Motors. Oil Indoor Fan Motor Twice each Year. Outdoor condenser Fan Motor once each Year. Mark your Calender or you Will forget! 30 drops of 30 weight motor oil for each bearing. Hint. Get a Zoom Spout oiler from a Hardware Store. They are plastic with a spout that will reach hard to get places.

Air Conditioning

• Keep your Coils Clean. Your outside Condenser Coil needs to be hosed out with a garden hose once a Year. Turn off the power to the unit before you spray water into it. If possible spray water through the coil the opposite way air flows through them. Dust, grass, bugs, lint, etc. will restrict the airflow through the coils causing excess pressure which decreases the life of the compresser considerably!
