Janssen's Temptation

8 potatoes, thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 c cream or half & half
¼ c bread crumbs
2 T butter
small can anchovies (I leave these out)

Place a layer of potatoes in a greased baking dish. Add a layer of onion, followed by
the anchovies, if desired. Repeat layers, ending with potatoes. Pour cream over all.
Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top, dot with butter or margarine. Bake at 350° for
60 minutes or until tender.
