Using scrap paper, make a very tight ball and a couple rubber bands or tape. Mix up some flour and water paste to a cream soup consistency. Tear thin strips of newspaper, about 1/2" wide x 6 - 8" long. Drag them through the paste, then lay onto the paper ball. Do this all over the ball until it has several layers and is about the size you want. Let it dry completely. Looking at a map or photo, use acrylic paints and fine brush and paint on globe continent features. Let dry. Spray with craft sealer or hairspray. Hot glue a hanging loop to the top.
