Slice a thin piece from a styrofoam ball. Glue it into the back half of a plastic 2-part clear ornament of the same diameter as the styrofoam ball. Use styrofoam glue to attach miniature figures and little trees to the 'ground'. Make sure front of ornament fits and can snap into place. Glue halves together with a few drops of tacky or E6000 glue. You can find little Christmas figures in cheap plastic snow globes.
