Deer and Angel Scenes

Use a fine-tooth saw to cut a plastic round ornament ball in half. File the rough edges with an emery board or small file. Use E6000 or similar glue to attach a wire for hanging at the top. Put a few dabs of paint at the back of the ornament for sky, trees, snow, etc, if desired. Glue a tiny plastic tree or other item as part of the background. Glue some polyfil stuffing or a cotton ball onto the 'floor' of the ornament as the snowy ground. Now glue in your angel, deer, Santa, Nativity or other miniature doodads. A good source of tiny plastic items is plastic snowglobes you can often find at dollar stores or yard sales. When you get the scene the way you want it, run a bead of glue around the edge of the half-sphere and attach some fine braid or other trim, and embellish with plastic stars, buttons, sequins, etc.
