It occured to me that duct tape might be able to be made into an elegant ornament, so I decided to try. I think it turned out pretty cool. Cut 8 strips of duct tape 9" long. Fold each in half lengthwise. Weave them together so you have a grid of 4 by 4. Cut a piece of cardboard about 3.5" X 3.5". Lay the weaving over the cardboard, fold back the unwoven parts to the back and secure with (what else?) duct tape. Make it look neat on the back. Use a needle to attach a silver tassel to the bottom, and a silver hanger to the top. Lastly, glue a silver charm or other embellishment to the front, and sign and date it on the back. The one-color scheme of the ornament is what makes it elegant.
