An Internet acquaintance sent me instructions for several cross-stitched Swedish ornaments. Here is a Dala horse, a creature that is much-loved in the Dalarna region where my grandfather was born and raised. The design is worked on 14 count aida cloth, then backed with quilt fabric, stuffed with poly-fill and trimmed in a green and gold braid. A very inexpensive but nice ornament.
