Instant Ornaments
Here are some easy things to hang on the tree as-is, without having to 'make' them. I call them Instant Ornaments, and you
probably have a several laying around disguised as household items.

Look around the house for some clever AND instant ornaments. A little doll, stuffed animal, clear glass ball with plastic snowflakes
stuffed in, miniature sweater, embroidered appliques,
doll furniture, feathered faux birds, mushroom birds, junk jewelry, buttons and beads on a string, paper dolls, beaded tassels, and even a
little model ship become precious decorations when you attach a hanger and call it an ornament. Other possibilites might be toys, tiny
bottles, tiny books, etc. Use your best imagination. Even the lowly and overworked Christmas Card can still make an impact. Use wire-edged ribbon and a hole-punch to hang cards on the tree.
I'm talking dozens and dozens of them, with no other ornaments. Use them as is, or cut them into shapes.
Artificial flowers simply laid on the tree branches adds alot of impact for little effort. The better the quality of the flowers,
the better the effect. Another possibility is purchased wire edged ribbon bows. (Naturally, you can make them yourself and save
a lot of money, but then they wouldn't be instant.) Large, fluffy bows give a look of luxury.
One way to have instant ornaments and decor next Christmas is to make some now. Attach the bows or faux flowers to the articicial tree before
storing it away this year. Next Christmas get it out, fluff it a little, and you're good to go.
