[Network Security]
- Firewalls (Checkpoint-1, Raptor, ZoneAlarm)
- Intrusion Detection (ISS Real Secure, snoop, TcpDump, SATAN)
- Security Auditing (Tiger, COPS, Kane, Titan, ISS, shell scripting)
- Port Scanning/Audit (Nmap, ISS Scanner, Asmodeus, SATAN)
- Network Attacks: Experience with the prevention of IP spoofing, SYN/FIN
exploits, ping/packet flooding, various Windows and TCP/IP network DoS
and hacks, and other types of denial of service attacks and exploits.
- Security Documentation: Security Policy and standards: Password policies, employee/user security policy, logon banners disaster/backout plans. Documentation for stripping down operating systems.
- Advisories: Familiar with reading Microsoft, Sun, CERT, L0pht, Rootshell, mailing lists etc.
- Encryption / Key Exchange: SSL and certs through Verisign and Entrust. PGP for e-mail, hard drives, etc.
