I am very proud of my daughter, Alison, and her 7 year old Dun Quarter Horse mare, Bullet, for all their accomplishments during the 1997 Missouri Youth Rodeo Association season. Although Alison did not join the MYRA until midway during the season, she rode hard and made the remaining rodeos in order to qualify for the Finals. Alison's hard work paid off as she won a total of six trophy belt buckles and a trophy saddle. At the MYRA Finals held in Humansville, MO (October 17,18) Alison was crowned 1997-98 MYRA Princess. Alison won awards for Champion Pee-Wee Goat Tying; Champion Pee-Wee Pole Bending; Fourth place Pee-Wee Barrel Racing; Pee-Wee Pole Bending Finals Average Winner and the Sponsorship Award, which was awarded to the member who acquired the most sponsorship advertising for the Finals. In addition Alison won a buckle and a saddle for All-Around Cowgirl.
