Web Design I & II

 
Doug Ballance earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Missouri at Rolla in 1997 and is currently self employed as a technical and software consultant at NextGen Services, Inc. in Rolla.
 
He has taught and presented various topics that range from basic computer usage to programming and hardware design and repair. Projects have included web page design, software engineering, network environments, and telecommunications programming. He strongly feels that computer knowledge is best gained through hands on experience.

Mary Gapsch earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Columbia College. She has taught computer classes at Metro Business College for four years. Her expertise includes Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

Julie Pfeifer is a Certified Microsoft Office User Specialist and shares her expertise in the private setting of the classroom at Metro Business College as well as the public forum of Pine/Online. Her Bachelor of Arts degree in Oral Communications Education is a proven asset in her classroom delivery style. She has ten years experience educating adults and children in a wide variety of subjects.
 
An avid entrepreneur, Julie spends time away from the classroom developing and maintaining several websites. The sites she has developed range from Arts and Crafts to animal husbandry to retail sales.
 
Mark Pfeifer

Mark Pfeifer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has spent the last six years teaching English and other skills to students both foreign and domestic. A proponent of technology in the classroom, Mark has taken enrichment courses in various software programs and has served on the technology committees of the schools in which he has taught. Currently he teaches at Boys and Girls Town of Missouri and operates a home-based freelance writing business.
 
Mark is currently pursuing a Masters in Education.
 
Carrie Rodell

Introduction to the Internet for Kids

 
Carrie Rodell earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1993, and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Educational Technology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
 
She has taught numerous subjects to students of all ages, from birth to retirement, in both public and private settings. For six years she taught English, French, computers, history, and science in public elementary and middle schools in southwest Missouri.
 
Since leaving the public school system, Carrie has served as instructor and facilitator for many companies, in many capacities. Currently her students include mystery shoppers, adult writing students, and senior citizens. Carrie has been using the Internet for genealogy research since 1994.
