The Pine/Online office is supported by generous donations from individuals and businesses in the community and RollaNet members. Hands-on Hardware and Software Demonstrations RollaNet is fortunate to have one of our Charter Members, Roger Creighton, available to perform demonstrations of hardware and software at our Pine/Online office at 606 N. Pine Street. Roger Creighton hosts the weekly radio show "PCPrimer" on KTTR-KZZN at 9:05 each Wednesday. He also writes a computer column for the Rolla Daily News which is syndicated nationwide. Bookmark this page to keep track of demos at Pine/Online! September 4, 2002 9:00 a.m. PC Primer Remote RollaNet is hosting Roger's PC Primer radio show live at our Pine/Online office. Roger will be interviewing RollaNet president Meg Brady. We will open our doors one hour early at 9:00 a.m., so come in and try out our high speed computers and join us for coffee, donuts and cookies, and the live PC Primer show! September 4, 2002 4:00 p.m. Family Tree Maker This is a demonstration of the popular CD software program Family Tree Maker. Roger will show you how to start your own family tree file and prepare family tree reports from the information entered. He will also demonstrate searching for genealogy data on your family using additional Family Tree CDs available at Pine/Online. August 14, 2002 4:00 p.m. Basics of CD Burning Using the Pine/Online computers, Roger will offer instructions on creating CD's for pictures, data and software backup and making a custom music CD with your favorite songs from your own CD collection. Pine/Online offers 12 public computers with CD burners, so participants will have ample opportunity to try it for themselves. July 31, 2002 4:00 p.m. Digital Images: Cameras, Scanners, and Ebay! This demonstration will include using a digital camera and a scanner to create an image for subsequent printing, emailing or uploading to a server for display on a web page. As an added bonus, Roger will bring along Lisa Sims, who will be showing the required steps to put an item on EBAY, including taking and posting photos. The demonstration starts at 4:00 p.m. and will continue as long as interest lasts. There is no need to register for the demonstration, just show up and bring your friends! Pine/Online · 606 N.
