The IRS certification has been received to substantiate the status of a 501(c)(3) entity, publicly supported. This will hopefully enhance the possibility of being the recipient of funds from trusts, etc.
User IDs and Passwords have been created for many Charter Members and will be distributed at the close of the meeting by Chris Clinton and others at the rear of the room. These will not be given out at any time without a completed Information Form and signed User Agreement.
The starter software will be distributed by the computer stores in Rolla. Currently PC Technologies and Midwest Computing have access. You can bring your own diskettes, or purchase them at the store. A RollaNet User Group (email@example.com) is encouraged as an electronic mailing group to encourage users to discuss usage questions, and generally help each other out.
The Treasurer's report was submitted by Arlene. It was noted that the balance on hand was $4,921.77. Anyone wishing to complete forms and contribute funds could do so after the meeting. Members not in attendance will have their access information mailed to them. Contact can be made with Arlene over the weekend by phone.
The business portion of the meeting was adjourned. Dan Uetrecht gave a detailed demonstration of the RollaNet services and installation of software.
The next general meeting will be held on Friday, July 7, 1995, at 5:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room of the Phelps County Courthouse.
