RollaNet provides you an alternative to a commercial service to access the Internet and the World Wide Web. Yes, RollaNet is an Internet Service Provider, delivering services similar to other local providers. However, we are the area's only Community Information Network, providing access to our comprehensive community information, from school lunches to garage sales. As a civic service, RollaNet offers free dial-up accounts for those unable to make a donation. In addition, RollaNet's public access terminals at our Pine/Online office offer affordable Internet access, making technology and information available to all citizens of Rolla and the surrounding communities. How We Differ from Other ISPS RollaNet is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, supported primarily by donations received from its members. These donations support our primary mission and community projects. Because of our non-profit status, donations to RollaNet are tax-deductible for income tax purposes. Our Community Information Network is enhanced every day by our members, who may add to the local information on organizational activities and calendars, news, tourism, sports, health care, government, shopping, and businesses. Unlike other Internet Service Providers, we are not simply a link to an outside server. RollaNet is composed of area-wide information compiled locally by our members and volunteers. We are your regional resource. RollaNet is unique in providing free dial-ups for those individuals unable to make a donation. We also provide affordable Internet access to those without access to computers in their homes through our Pine/Online office, where we offer high-speed connections on fast computers, and access to peripherals like our color laser printer and scanner for a very small fee. The office features a free Kiddie Computer with high-quality educational software, and hosts free computer classes on topics such as Basic and Intermediate Internet, and free classes for children. RollaNet is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt, corporation whose mission is three-fold: To provide the greater Rolla area with a collective repository for local information and access thereto.
