About Us

What can you do to support and improve your library - the Rolla Free Public Library?

Consider joining the Friends of the Rolla Library.

The Friends is a group of people who believe in reading, education and the value of a top-notch library in our community. With money raised through annual memberships and a semi-annual booksale, the Friends donate from $6,000 to $10,000 to the library annually. This money is used to purchase books, tapes, computers, printers and other equipment and supplies as needed based on recommendations from the librarian.

The Friends additionally support the library through volunteerism, management of a homebound delivery service, refreshments for children's programs and other special projects as needed throughout the year.

Annual membership levels are: Family, $25; Individual, $10; Seniors/Students, $5; Contributor, $50-$99. Contribution to the Friends are tax-deductible.

The Spring and Fall booksales will be announced - watch and listen for our public service announcements as Fall approaches.
